Chiquila is located north of the State of Quintana Roo and is the starting point for ferries to Isla Holbox.

The ride from Cancun to Chiquila takes approximately 2 hours and 20 minutes provided there is private transportation from Cancun airport. A private van for a ride from Cancun to Chiquila costs about $ 165 and may send a reservation request on this form

In Chiquila there are no hotels, it's just the way point to Holbox. From this point car ferries depart to Holbox, but generally people that go in their car to go to holbox leave their cars in parking lots. One car costs about $ 5 per day and is safe.

From Chiquila Cancun Buses also are not very common but there are several trips a day.

In Chiquila can take the ferry to Holbox or you can take a boat that is offered for $ 30 for 8 people. These boats are available all day until late at night when there is no ferry schedules.

To Go to Chiquila from Cancun to take the road that is not toll to Merida, passing the town of Leona Vicario, its a town called Valladolid nuevo, here you turn to the right to take the road to Chiquila.

From Chiquila also leaves boat tours for the whale sharks during the summer season.
